Since I didn't do a lot for winter break, I didn't have many interesting pictures to show. However I did make some memorable moments with my friends when I did get to hangout with them. For example, on December 18, I went to 85 degrees (a cafe) and got some pastries, I got a slice of strawberry shortcake. We then went to Dragonfly Tea Bar to get some boba and then walked to Dollar Tree and got a small game of Jenga and my friend Rain (the one with the white sweater) got a little wooden snake and named it Gerard. We spent the rest of our day at Grijalva Park and messed around, it was really fun. On December 21st, my family and I spent a long 5 hours driving from Orange County to Turlock, CA to see my internet friend, that was definitely the highlight of my winter vacation. While I was visiting him I got to meet his sister, she was really nice. His sister gave us a gingerbread house kit to make but we ended up losing the instructions and decided to "freestyle" it. It started out really well but then my friend decided it would be cooler to make an "abandoned" gingerbread house. Meeting him for the first time was incredibly memorable, which is why I took those pictures.
After that, I didn't really go out much, but I didn't mind it. We're still in a pandemic after all. Anyway, I spent Christmas with my family and my pets. The bird shown above is my pet cockatiel, his name is Chubby and I've had him for about 5 years now. He's really sweet and loves to perch on my finger or my bunkbed latter. He also really likes to sing and he loves head pats. That picture of him was taken on Christmas Eve while he was sitting on my ladder, so technically he was celebrating Christmas with us! He didn't get any presents though. My 2-year-old niece is the last picture, she's adorable and loves playing with anything really, sometimes she even plays with rocks. She smiles a lot, that specific picture was taken on Christmas Day at my aunt's house, right after she stole my cup of orange juice and drank it. I love her very much and she got a ton of Christmas presents.
Although my winter break may have not been as exciting as someone else's, I still really enjoyed my break and I enjoyed the free time I had to sleep in and play video games for as long as I wanted to. I didn't take pictures of this, but I spent a lot of time playing Minecraft and reading a book from my english class named "In Cold Blood."
